Redefine The Problem

Mid 1990 Microsoft started an encyclopaedia called Encarta.They employed all the right incentives. They paid professionals so write and edit thousands of articles.Well compensated managers oversaw the project to ensure it came in on time and budget.A few years later another encyclopaedia started. They had a radically different approach. Do it for fun. No one gets paid. In 2009 Encarta was shut down. Today Wikipedia is the largest encyclopaedia in the world.
